SPUD BARGE ON LAKE RAVEN

S & S Services used a 50′ x 40′ T-shaped S-50 assembly to support a Hitachi 300 excavator operating a vibratory hammer. The arrangement was used to drive sheet piling around a historic boat dock located on Lake Raven within Huntsville State Park. The existing structures were built in the late 1930s by the Civilian Conservation Corps. The sheet pile wall allowed the contractor to dewater around the site so the dock and boathouse could be renovated in a dry work environment.
