Elevated Platforms
FLEXIFLOAT® Self-Elevating Platforms
Stable Solutions for Challenging Marine Environments
Maximize productivity and eliminate downtime with Flexifloat® Self-Elevating Platforms (SEPs). Specifically engineered for marine construction, these modular “jack-up” barges provide a stable work surface that remains unaffected by waves, currents, and tidal fluctuations. From pile-driving and foundation drilling to heavy hook work, Flexifloat® SEPs deliver the stability required for precision operations in the most demanding conditions.
Decades of Proven Reliability
Flexifloat® SEPs have delivered decades of elevated performance in diverse global environments since the 1970s. The durability of our equipment, with many original units still in active service today, is a testament to the ruggedness of our design and our commitment to professional support. Modern units build on this heritage, featuring dual Hydraulic Power Units (HPUs) for critical redundancy and utilize low-emission Tier 4 diesel engines and eco-friendly hydraulic fluid to meet the latest environmental standards.
Versatile, Portable, and Site-Ready
Flexifloat® SEPs are uniquely capable of operating in shallow-water or land-locked areas often inaccessible to conventional jack-up vessels. Built from our standard Series S-70 pontoon modules, the system is designed for seamless logistics:
- Truck-Transportable: All components are sized for standard flatbed transport.
- Rapid Assembly: Modular designs allow for fast on-site setup using common lifting equipment and small crews.
- Custom Configurations: Modular spudwells and columns can be arranged to create slotted or center-well assemblies, perfectly tailoring the platform for specialized marine drilling.
Precision Elevating Technology
The SEP elevating system is hydraulically activated and manually controlled for maximum reliability and safety. Each elevating spudwell features a robust, rotating lift-and-lock mechanism that engages external lugs on the columns. This design ensures the platform can be securely locked at any required elevation, providing a high strength, stable deck for your equipment and crew.
