Flexifloat’s versatility demonstrated
Nationwide
Marine Diving Solutions (MDS) offers commercial diving services and marine construction operations nationwide. Flexifloats have played a crucial role in supporting some of their operations allowing them to accommodate different cranes on various configurations based on the job requirements.
Equipment used on projects includes an 80-ton Grove RT880E crane working on a 70’ x 80’ U-shaped S50 assembly, an 80-ton Terex RT780-1 crane working on a 50’ x 80 U-shaped S50 assembly, and a 130-ton Link-Belt RTC 80100 crane working on an 80’ x 60’ U-shaped S50 assembly. These U-shaped configurations are commonly used when handling hook loads below the waterline, enabling the crane to work in close proximity with the hook load while also supporting dive operations.
The 130-ton capacity Link-Belt RTC 80100 was also supported on a 60’ x 90’ S50 assembly. For all the projects mentioned, the Flexifloat Loading Ramps were utilized to simplify the loading and unloading of the RT cranes. These ramps are designed to be beached on shore for easy loading; and can remain on the assembly to provide additional deck space.
