J. F. Brennan Company’s Broadcast Capping System (BCS) supported on Flexifloats
Duluth, MN
J.F. Brennan Company (Brennan) once again supported their patented Broadcast Capping System (BCS®) on Flexifloats in Duluth, MN for an environmental remediation project at Munger Landing. Brennan’s BCS is the most efficient subaqueous sand cover and capping system in the world. Brennan has successfully used the system in a variety of applications ranging from environmental dredging to wetland remediation and habitat restoration projects.
For the Munger Landing sediment cleanup project, Brennan utilized a 40’ x 80’ x 5’ S50 Flexifloat assembly to support their capping system. A 20’ x 120’ x 5’ S50 spud barge was used as a guide to assist in the placement of the capping material. An additional 30’ x 40’ x 5’ S50 assembly was used to support Brennan’s booster pump, used to pump capping material to their BCS.
