Spud Barge on the St. Lawrence River

Sevenson Environmental used a 30′ x 60′ Series S-50 spud barge to support a 70,000-pound Komatsu PC-300 hydraulic excavator for a remediation project on the St. Lawrence River in New York. Steel boxes positioned on the stern contained the spoil. The 40-foot spuds were hoisted by a skid-mounted double-drum winch system.
