Seamless Transitions and Load Distribution
Crane mats are used to load a crawler crane onto a Flexifloat assembly. The 12-inch-thick timber mats are arranged to make a smooth transition from the shoreline onto the hull and help distribute the load on the deck. Crane mats are also used under the crane while working from the barge.
