Fendering on Flexifloats

Increased Protection

Fendering is most often required to protect the sides of the Flexifloats from other barges, pilings, boats, etc. The most common fendering used by contractors is tires hung over the side of the floats from the available tube turns located along the edge of the deck. On other occasions contractors weld their own brackets on the side of the floats to attach traditional rubber or timber fendering. Any welding to rental equipment should be removed and ground back down to the original surface before return. Robishaw Engineering also offers Rub Rail Brackets that may be purchased for hanging timber fendering off the male or female Flexifloat locks. Upon request, custom fendering attachments can be added to newly manufactured Flexifloats.
