Increased Safety
Depending on the jobsite’s safety requirements, handrails are sometimes required on the Flexifloat assemblies. Most often contractors weld steel angle structure to the float’s steel deck for posts, and run rope or 2×4 lumber between the stanchions. On other occasions, contractors have used more standardized handrail sections fastened to steel bases welded to the deck. Any welding to rental equipment should be removed and ground back down to the original surface before return. Robishaw Engineering does not offer a handrail system for rental due to the infinite number of configurations possible and the varying handrail specifications required between applications. Upon request, custom handrail attachments can be fabricated for newly manufactured Flexifloats.
